Becca (and BodyWorks Massage, located within Physical Therapy Plus in South Windsor, Connecticut) has been offering a safe environment to receive therapeutic massage since 2005. Becca specializes in Arvigo Therapy ® and perinatal massage.
Arvigo Therapy® is a massage modality that focuses on digestive and reproductive issues. The Arvigo techniques were developed by Dr. Rosita Arvigo, DN., based on her apprenticeship with the Maya healer Don Elijio Panti and her own education, training, and research as a naprapathic physician. Arvigo Therapy® helps to restore the body to its natural balance by allowing the body to correct the position of organs that have shifted and restrict blood flow, lymph, nerve, and chi energy.
Becca graduated from the Bancroft School of Massage Therapy, passed her national board exam, and is a Board Certified therapist by the NCBTMB. Early in her massage career, she knew she wanted to work with women, so she received her MotherMassage® perinatal certification. She also studies Visceral Manipulation with The Barral Institute.
Becca earned her Bachelor’s of Arts degree in English, with a concentration in technical writing, from the University of Connecticut. Becca had a successful first career as a technical writer, authoring HTML help for electrical engineering software. But a life of deadlines is only appealing for so long, hence her career change.
Becca also enjoys volunteering with and being active in the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA).
Becca’s web site features online booking and instant gift certificate purchasing.
