Located in Woodstock, CT on scenic route169 in Connecticut’s Quiet Corner, Mrs. Bridges’ Pantry is now proudly owned and operated by Pamela Spaeth and Susan Swenson.
Pam, originally from New York, came to Woodstock with her husband, daughter and son ten years ago. ” I wandered into Mrs. B’s when it was in Putnam and to my delight found a place where I could find items like Bisto and PG Tips tea.”
Sue, originally from Staffordshire, England, moved to Brooklyn, CT with her husband and two sons fourteen years ago. “I’ve been a customer for many years, Mrs Bridges’ Pantry has always made me feel a little closer to home.”
Some time ago Sue and Pam, already friends, agreed that as MBP was for sale they hoped the new owners would continue it as a resource for all things British (at least as far as foods, teas and unique gifts were concerned) as well as a comfortable and relaxing place to go for tea or a meal. Shortly thereafter they agreed that it would be better all ’round if they took it on themselves. And so they did.
Sometime later, here we are, providing what we hope is still “a little slice of Britain” and a warm and friendly atmosphere to enjoy it in.
