The Warner Theatre is the largest performing arts center in Northwest Connecticut – over 100,000 patrons attended 200+ public events last season. These included concerts, professional touring theatre/dance, movies, digital opera, community theatre, government debates, inaugurations, dance recitals, high school graduations and dance competitions.
The Warner Theatre’s mission is to enrich, entertain and educate our communities through high quality performing arts and arts educational opportunities, preserve the theatre as a historic landmark, and contribute, in partnership with others, to the betterment of our region’s way of life and economic vitality. The theatre’s resident community theatre ensemble, the Warner Stage Company, is dedicated to producing high caliber community theatre productions for audiences of all ages. In addition, each year a wide array of national artists choose to entertain our patrons in this historic venue. The Warner Theatre Center for Arts Education (WTCAE) offers arts education classes to all members of the community, and beyond. Aside from providing unprecedented training for our students, the WTCAE does something less noticeable yet equally as important: – it encourages creativity, accepts differences and builds self-confidence in all who participate.
The Warner Theatre is a shining example of the ultimate grassroots success story and is an integral part of this community and region.
